I heard an interesting quote yesterday...

"Sometimes, life is just a strange f*ckin' place to be."

I'd have to agree with that.

I got out of the shower this morning, to hear my pager buzzing. I checked it, and I'd been paged 4 times already. The last page was from my boss, so I called him, and he was all, "Uhh...aren't you doing the testing this morning?" Aack. I was supposed to have been to work by 6am, and no one could find me...he said he'd get started on the testing, and I said I'd get to work as soon as I could possibly get there. By the time I got there (after totally breaking every speed limit law in the state), he'd just about finished the first half of the testing. Double aack. One of the servers was down, and he'd noted that it would need additional testing before it could be put back up. So when the migration team guy came over and asked me to test it, I tested it the way I would test any of the other servers, and then sent out an email, saying it passed the testing. That was quickly countered with a phonecall from the boss and a counter-email in BIG BOLD LETTERS TO DISREGARD MY EMAIL, as apparently there was still more testing that needed to be done that I had no concept of. Triple aack. Great way to start the day, huh?

And now, SIX meeting requests later, I'm to go over and talk to the people in 2 training classes today. Note that I got dressed quickly in order to get to work quickly, and am in offbeat-mode, so I've got on layered tee shirts, denim capris, red and black striped soccer socks, and combat boots. Nice. Way to make a good impression on the new associates, Megan.

And I forgot my lunch money, and I think I might have a bit of the walking pneumonia, because my cough just won't go away, and I have been tiring easily. Oh, and I'm breaking out, because of all the stress.

Welcome to the peak of Tax Season. Care for some tea?
