The weekend was pretty mellow for us, and as a result, I feel like it was wasted, heh. Both days we slept in (though for me, that means sleeping until 9-ish), and spent a fair amount of time in front of the TV. I did get both films watched that I needed to watch for school (Imitation of Life and Double Indemnity), though, and have a head start on discussion forum postings, at least. Now to actually write a paper on one of them...but they've both been sent back to Netflix already so I can't go back to rewatch any parts. I'm hoping I can find enough reminders of scenes online that I won't need to go back and rewatch anything anyhow.
I did head to the grocery store last night in hopes we'll be able to head to Osage for a visit and dinner tonight, and lo and behold, our Price Chopper was also selling green eco-bag things! I scooped up 5 of them. :) I'm going to make an effort this year to reduce/reuse/recycle, and need to look into getting onto the Raymore recycle list. I know it'll involve an extra cost, but I think it'll be worth it in the long run. I used to live in a mandatory recycling area, and so now each time I throw away something that I used to have to recycle, I cringe.
My enemy the scale reports that I'm up 7 pounds. *sigh* I am now attempting to debloat myself today with hot lemon water, tea, etc, but I suspect if we head out for dinner tonight that I'll be doing this again on Wednesday, heh. That's okay...after Jan 1's cornbread and black eyed peas meal, I think I'll be home free with lots of days ahead of me during which I can debloat again. *thinks* Oh, wait, we've got a farewell dinner to attend on Thursday. So Friday! Friday, I can officially start to shrink the belly again. Or try to, at least. Blech. Dumb belly fat anyway.
My boss is back at work today, as as we sit back-to-back, I better get off of here and get some work done. Have a status meeting in 2 minutes and want to look busy when they come to remind me about the meeting, not that I've forgotten, heh.
