Well, drat. So much for the FSB show, at least this year. Wendy's not able to justify the expense of driving 9+ hours each weekend (4+ there, 4+ back), even if she does get to camp for free, and Vicki's not able to take either the Friday before each weekend off, or the Monday after each weekend off, and doesn't think she'll be up for the ordeal of working Friday, driving down to set up camp Friday evening, working all weekend, driving back on Sunday night and then returning to work on Monday morning without a break. Which, honestly, I can't say that I blame her, but we've done that the last 2 years and we survive it somehow. I was willing to suck up both the cost and the hit to our schedules if everyone else wanted to make a go of it, but since they don't, ehh...I guess we're off the hook. Good in some ways, disappointing in others. I think the plan is still to continue trying to put something together, but without a deadline looming, I don't know how quickly that'll happen. Vicki suggested we go and do a one-day show only, but we'd still need to audition in order to do that, and I don't know that they'd even entertain the idea for a show that's brand new, so...meh.

At least Wendy's still on board to do Joplin...I'd be really mad if I had gone to the trouble and expense of creating an all new costume if it was never going to be used for the purpose it was intended.

*sigh*

Life at home is okay...just busy. I'm hoping to be able to wrap up the Young Marines paperwork today...once the training is finalized, that will be a huge load of time-suckage off my plate. I've enjoyed working on it, just hate the "it's STILL not done" feeling that's taken over.

I realize I sound kind of down...I'm honestly not...just tired, I think. *yawns*

Better get back to work.
