It's late, and I should head to bed soon. But I've been rather emo today, and one friend even called to check on me, so I wanted to make sure everyone knew I was fine, honest. :)
I had made the mistake of checking my work email over the weekend, and saw a nastygram in there from my boss's boss, basically insinuating that I intentionally left on Friday without getting my work done, and that I should always arrange for someone to cover me when I'm going to be out. Which, I thought I HAD tied up all the loose ends, and I thought I HAD arranged for someone to cover me, but apparently it wasn't seen that way. So I fell into a funk over that, and went to work early this morning and stayed late, and got tons of work done, so they can't gripe about that, at least. Grr.
I disregarded the diet over the weekend, and am up 3 pounds because of it. I was making good progress today at sticking to plan, but then I came home to boxes of cookies on the counter, and an empty fridge, and that's all she wrote. I'm sure I'll be up another pound by tomorrow. :\
The weekend was nice...Branson is eerily quiet during the off season, and most shows and restaurants are closed until March, but there were enough things still open to keep us entertained for a couple of days. We got in on Friday evening and went to dinner, then on Saturday we hit a Butterfly Palace, where they have a room where there are a ton of butterflies all flitting around, and then grabbed some lunch, visited with the timeshare people who were putting us up in the hotel for the weekend, and then did some shopping and ended the evening with dinner and a live musical review. Headed for home on Sunday morning and had dinner out with Chris's dad for Chris's birthday last night. Nice. :)
My film class is now done, and my Hate Groups in America class begins on Wednesday. *pant pant* Have a jewelry party on Sunday, and am heading down to Joplin for JRF auditions on Saturday. Oh, and on Saturday night, Chris and I have a work party to attend over at the Argosy casino. We would have skipped that, but for the receptionist at work, who we both love, and who pled for us both to come. So we are. Ehh. Work parties are SO not my thing.
I think that's the long and short of it, really...I'm mostly over my snit about work, but know now not to trust those in my immediate department to watch my back. I'm flying solo there, and will just have to remember that for the future. Sucks, but there it is.
